Behind the Scenes at Rivergate Marketing’s Fourth Annual Retreat

Rivergate Marketing retreat 2024

A Look into the Team’s Strategic Vision and Team Spirit Amid New Hampshire’s Scenery

Rivergate Marketing held its annual strategy retreat the week of October 21, 2024. Building on previous years’ successes, the 2024 gathering strengthened our team’s connections and sharpened our strategic focus. Taking place in scenic New London, NH, the Rivergate team came together to talk strategy and build bonds. Here’s a look into a retreat full of insight, collaboration, and fun.

The retreat’s main focus was to hone in on Rivergate as a company and outline plans for 2025. The team discussed ways to enhance workflows, adopt new tools, and implement strategies to better serve our clients.

The retreat is also an important way for our team to connect, which is why the second focus was on the people of Rivergate. Last year, each team member created a “get to know me” presentation, while this year’s theme was “life updates” to share an exciting year. Brittany Averill celebrated her wedding and shared stunning photos from the big day. Georgia Whalen shared highlights from her bucket-list trip to the Lazy LB Ranch in Wyoming, where she rode a horse named Misty through the hills. Christine McQuilkin shared photos from her family adventure touring Italy, while Lauren Miranda gave an update on her two beautiful sons, Liam and Trevor.

Kirsten LeRoij delighted the team with a physics demonstration, drawing on her background as a high school physics teacher. She quizzed everyone on the effects of gravity and gave a memorable demonstration with a giant slinky (see the video below!).

Amid intense discussions and brainstorming, the team also made sure to have some fun. Since the retreat was just before Halloween, we dressed up in costumes and enjoyed a tasty dinner.

“Our recent in-person strategy meeting was so refreshing! It was great to be together in real life and get energized about the company and our teammates. Although we meet regularly, something about being in the same space really got the ideas flowing and the sparks flying,” said Lauren Miranda, Creative Manager. “We enjoyed homemade comfort food, took goofy pictures in Halloween costumes, and brainstormed around the campfire. So many interesting conversations were had. I am looking forward to seeing how we can implement the ideas we came up with to move things forward for our clients this year!”

“At Rivergate, our success hinges on our ability to evolve, not just in tools and strategy but in how we support and inspire each other. This retreat gave us the space to do just that,” said Georgia Whalen, Founder and President of Rivergate Marketing. “I’m inspired by the team’s commitment and passion for our clients.”

The Rivergate Marketing team can’t wait to see what 2025 holds and is eagerly looking forward to taking on new challenges together.
